We are delighted to welcome a number of new judges to our judging panel for South West Chef of the Year 2018.
Casting her expert eye over the Junior competitors in Cornwall will be Emily Scott, chef proprietor of the St Tudy Inn at St Tudy. Emily joins Stephane Delourme from The Seafood Restaurant, Padstow and Clyde Connellan from Cornwall College on the judging panel for the Cornwall Junior Chef final.
Helping to judge the Dorset Junior final, we also welcome Pete Murt, head chef at Rick Stein Sandbanks, who will join Russell Brown from Creative Cuisine and David Marshall from Bournemouth and Poole College. Pete will also mentor the Dorset Junior Chef 2018 to help them to develop their skills and their dish ready for the South West final.
The Wiltshire Junior final will see two new judges on the panel. Chris Cleghorn, head chef at the Olive Tree Restaurant, Queenberry Hotel, Bath will be judging alongside Tom Westerland, head chef at The Brasserie, Lucknam Park, who will be standing in for Hywel Jones, Executive Chef, Lucknam Park for the afternoon.

In addition to these new judges, Scott Paton, head chef at Boringdon Hall Hotel, Plymouth, who has judged the Devon Junior final for several years, will be joining the judging panel for the Professional and Student Chef categories of the competition too.
